Please read it alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more broadly.

Aurora Music Corporation Ltd is responsible for the use of cookies and related personal-data processing on this website. 25Eight Events Ltd manages certain communications and data protection enquiries on our behalf.

This policy covers our website. When you follow a link to an external website, that provider's cookie and privacy policies apply to its services.

2. WHAT ARE COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES?

Cookies are small files stored on your computer, tablet or phone by a website. They can support website functions, remember choices and provide information about how a site is used.

Other technologies, including local storage, pixels and scripts, can also store or access information on your device. References to cookies in this policy include similar technologies where applicable.

Cookies can be:

  • Session cookies: normally expire at the end of your browsing session.
  • Persistent cookies: remain until their expiry date or until you delete them.
  • First-party cookies: associated with the website you are visiting.
  • Third-party cookies: associated with another provider whose services are used on a page.

The purpose and configuration of a technology determine how it is treated; a cookie is not automatically essential simply because a supplier calls it that.

3. COOKIE CATEGORIES AND YOUR CHOICES

STRICTLY NECESSARY COOKIES

These support functions essential to provide a service you request, such as security controls or saving your cookie-consent choices. They are used only where the relevant exemption from consent applies.

They are not controlled by optional-cookie toggles. You may block or delete them in your browser, although this may prevent the relevant feature from working or cause your preferences to be forgotten.

Where related personal data is processed, our basis may be legitimate interests in operating a secure website or contract where necessary to provide a service you request. This is separate from the rules governing storage or access on your device.

ANALYTICS AND PERFORMANCE COOKIES

If enabled, optional analytics can help us understand page use, navigation and technical performance. Depending on the service and its configuration, information may include pages viewed, interactions, referring websites and device details.

Our approach is to request consent before enabling optional analytics cookies. Declining them does not prevent you from viewing festival information or following booking links. Where personal data is processed on this consent-based basis, Article 6(1)(a) of the UK GDPR applies.

Any analytics provider actually used, and its cookie details, will be identified in Cookie Settings. We do not treat the information as anonymous merely because a service masks or does not retain an IP address.

OPTIONAL FUNCTIONALITY COOKIES

These may support additional preferences or third-party features. Where offered, they are enabled only after the relevant consent, unless a specific legal exception applies and is explained in Cookie Settings.

Cookies needed to remember your consent choices are classified under strictly necessary cookies, not under optional functionality. Rejecting an optional feature may stop that feature from working, but should not block basic event information.

MARKETING COOKIES

We do not use behavioural advertising or third-party marketing cookies on this website.

If we introduce them, we will identify the providers and purposes, update this policy and request the necessary consent before activation. Signing up for marketing emails is a separate choice from accepting cookies.

4. EXTERNAL SERVICES AND BOOKING LINKS

ONTICK TICKETING

Festival tickets and accommodation are sold through Ontick only:

Our booking buttons take you to Ontick. Ontick and its payment providers manage their own checkout services and associated cookies. Review the information shown on their website when booking. Your choices on our website do not automatically set your preferences on Ontick.

On-site festival purchases are paid for by cash or card only. That arrangement is separate from online checkout and does not itself imply that this website uses payment cookies.

An ordinary external link does not itself embed the destination's cookie-based services on our pages. If we later embed a booking service, we will assess its technologies and update our information and controls before use.

SOCIAL LINKS, EMBEDDED CONTENT AND WHATSAPP

Following a social-media or messaging link takes you to a service governed by that provider's own policies.

A WhatsApp contact option is planned. If introduced, its treatment will depend on whether it is a simple link or an embedded service. Where an embedded feature requires optional storage or tracking, we will explain the provider and purpose and obtain the required consent before loading it.

CLOUDFLARE HOSTING AND WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT

The Strawberry Fields website is hosted on Cloudflare and was built by UNKNWNmedia.com. Hosting and website development are separate from ticket sales, which take place on Ontick.

Using Cloudflare hosting does not establish which cookies or technologies this particular site uses. Likewise, the website builder credit does not mean that UNKNWNmedia.com places tracking technologies or receives visitor information. The actual site configuration determines this.

Hosting, security and other website providers may use technologies necessary to deliver their services. The cookie information available through Cookie Settings identifies the providers and technologies actually active on this website. A provider's involvement does not automatically make all of its cookies strictly necessary.

INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING

Where our use of providers involves a restricted transfer of personal data outside the UK, we use an appropriate transfer mechanism, as explained in our Privacy Policy. This may include UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum, where applicable.

5. MANAGING YOUR COOKIE PREFERENCES

Where optional cookies are offered, our consent controls provide clear choices to:

  • Accept all optional cookies.
  • Reject optional cookies.
  • Manage individual categories and save your preferences.

Optional categories start switched off. Browsing, scrolling or closing a banner is not treated as consent. Rejecting optional cookies should be as straightforward as accepting them.

You can revisit Cookie Settings on the website to change or withdraw your choices. Withdrawing consent stops further consent-based use of the relevant technologies. Where technically possible, we remove cookies we control that are no longer authorised; browser controls can help remove remaining cookies, including those controlled by other providers.

Withdrawing consent does not change the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Your choices usually apply to the browser and device you are using; you may need to set them again on another device or after clearing browser storage.

You can also use your browser's privacy settings to inspect, block or delete cookies. Blocking necessary cookies may affect specific website functions.

6. COOKIE DETAILS AND STORAGE PERIODS

Different technologies remain active for different periods. Session cookies normally expire with the browsing session; persistent cookies have a defined expiry. Other browser storage may remain until cleared unless the service applies its own deletion rule.

Our cookie information in Cookie Settings identifies the technologies actually used, including their names or identifiers, providers, purposes, categories and storage periods. It also explains whether a technology requires consent.

Cookie lifetime is not necessarily the same as the retention period for information already collected by a provider. See our Privacy Policy and the relevant provider's information for personal-data retention details.

7. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy when our website, providers or use of technologies changes. The current version will be available on this website with the updated date above.

Where a change introduces a new consent-based purpose, we will request fresh consent before using the relevant technology for that purpose.
